Newsletter #2: Leanne Caron for Mayor: Less Talk. More Action.
August 19, 2026
A Message from Leanne
Friends,
As with every major project, it’s the planning that takes the lion’s share of your time and energy. Election campaigns are no different. Meetings, listening, strategy sessions, ordering materials, and communication plans are just a few of the activities that we have been working on. It’s all about to get real on Friday, August 21 when nominations close.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll see signs popping up around town, our first online Town Hall, more canvassing, social media, and the rollout of my comprehensive Guelph Affordability Plan (GAP). The GAP represents the culmination of many months of listening, brainstorming, and policy research. Affordability is the number one priority in this election. We can’t keep talking about it. It’s time for action.
Let’s do this!

Show Your Support with a Lawn Sign
Our signs are hitting lawns across Guelph this weekend! Putting up a Leanne for Mayor sign is one of the most visible ways you can show your support and help build momentum for our campaign.
Request your sign online → REQUEST A SIGN
Or pick one up at one of our pop-up locations this weekend:
- Saturday, 8 am–1 pm | Guelph Farmers’ Market
- Saturday, 1–4 pm | 10C Shared Space (42 Carden Street)
- Sunday, 10 am–2 pm | 1083 Gordon Street, Unit 11

Signs are also one of our campaign’s biggest expenses. If you’re able, please consider making a $20 donation to help us cover the cost of printing signs. Every contribution helps us reach more voters and grow our campaign.
